Boston City Councilor Ayanna Pressley reveals that she was raped while a college student.

She makes the revelation during a hearing to examine sexual assault policies at local colleges. Pressley declares, “I’m sharing my story just to put a face to the issue. Like the 90 percent of women who are survivors of sexual assault, yes, I did know my attacker, which only compounds the sense of betrayal and violation, and the undermining of trust.”
